Exciting Announcement!

Quinn Skirt and Top pattern sewn by Skirt Fixation for All The Skirts

Today’s there’s an exciting announcement over at Project Run & Play that involves me.  Yep, you heard me right, ME!  When I discovered Project Run & Play I found the sewing community and felt like I’d found my people.  Other women who loved to sew, and were maybe even obsessed with sewing?  It was my dream come true! So to be a part of the Project Run & Play team is a great honor for me.  I thought I would celebrate by rounding up all the things I’ve sewn for a Project Run & Play event.  Be sure to check out Michelle’s post as it’s a pretty exciting day for her too.
It’s very interesting to me to see how Project Run & Play has also made me up my sewing game.  It’s like the first time I went to a potluck as a newly married bride.  I took green bean hot dish.  You know the kind with french fried onions on top?  As I set my offering on the table, among the beautifully prepared and meticulously presented food art, I realized the point of a potluck for a woman was not only to feed others, but to connect with other cooks via the food they had prepared.  Let me just say I never took green bean hot dish to a potluck again!  And Project Run & Play has helped me sew and present my best.  I also love thinking about all the other seamstresses as I sew for PR&P just as when I cook for a potluck I think about all the other cooks simultaneously preparing food.  Click on each photo to be taken to the original post if you wish.
