The next pattern from the Project Street Style collection is a really good one! Okay, okay, they’re all really good! But the Via pattern includes a top, tunic and a dress, and has such fun details.
First of all, the VIA pattern is designed for french terry, sweat shirting, and sweater knits. You know it’s going to be comfortable when you start out with those fabrics! Then there’s the fun side stripes. In fact, there’s a lot of ways you can color block with the Via pattern, as you can see by these versions.
Annie loves this new top, and as you have probably figured out, we’ve created a whole mini wardrobe for her. Between all the Stoplight Skirts, Easy Street Tees, the City Lights Cape and this Via top, she’s ready for fall!
Of course we chose fabrics for the whole set of garments that work well together. I think the above photo might be one of my favorite combos…(yes, I say that every time she wears something I sewed for her!) This fabric is super soft french terry from CaliFabrics, the black is here and the pink is here.
The Via pattern was very fast and easy to construct. Those thin stripes might look difficult, but they weren’t at all. They add such a fun detail to the top, don’t you think? We can’t wait to try other combinations.
The Via pattern can be sewn in sizes 12M to 14 years, so we’ll probably be sewing these for quite a while for both Annie and Tina. This one is a size 10 and fits Annie just perfectly.
Can’t get enough of Project Street Style?
