Project Watercolor Beach: Lemon Tee pattern

We sewed up 5 Lemon Tees from the Project Watercolor Beach collection!  Special thanks to Kalli June Photography for the beautiful photography. Find the Lemon Tee here in the Project Run & Play shop.

Lemon Tee #1:

Annie “needed” a fun summer tee, so we sewed her a basic version of the Lemon Tee.  We sewed the solid body with banded short sleeves in a size 10.

The fabric on Annie’s Lemon Tee is SUPER soft heather grey midweight rayon spandex jersey from CaliFabrics.  Let’s just say I want one of these in my size!

The digital design is the A Midsummer Ice Cream design from the Project Watercolor Beach collection.  We used some different Everyday Iron On vinyl from Cricut.

Lemon Tee #2:

David got the cutest Lemon Tee, don’t you think?  We used the view with the diagonal body, short sleeve hemmed sleeves. (Did you notice that one sleeve is green and the other white?!)  He measured right at a size 7.

The fabric on David’s Lemon Tee is white french terry and green premium cotton lycra jersey (similar here) both from Cali Fabrics.  These are both really super stable knit fabrics, great to work with and will stand up to lots of wear and tear.

The digital design is the Octopus design from the Project Watercolor Beach collection.  We used premium vinyl patterned iron on called Sunset Blossom from Cricut.  We didn’t use the word “octopus” from the design and had the octopus wrap around the front and back of the tee!

Lemon Tee #3:

Lowell got one of my favorite Lemon Tees!  Okay fine, I love them all!  We used the color blocked body with short sleeves.  We sewed him a size 6.

The fabric on Lowell’s Lemon Tee is deliciously soft heather grey midweight rayon spandex jersey and white french terry from CaliFabrics.  The yellow is up cycled from an old t-shirt!

The digital design is the Hammerhead Shark from the Project Watercolor Beach collection.  We used some navy sport flex iron on vinyl from Cricut.

The fabric on Tina’s Lemon Tee is cloud-like soft heather grey midweight rayon spandex jersey and white french terry from CaliFabrics.

Lemon Tee #5:

Baby had to have a Lemon Tee too,  right? We used the view with the diagonal body, short sleeve hemmed sleeves.

The fabric on Baby’s Lemon Tee is white french terry and an old t-shirt supplied the blue.  I even used the existing hem on the sleeves and bottom!  Win!

The digital design is the Salt Life design from the Project Watercolor Beach collection.  We used some foil iron on from Cricut.

And we plan to keep sewing these all summer…the pattern is that good, and besides, when you have it all cut out in 5 different sizes, why would you go to the trouble of printing, taping, and cutting a whole new pattern?  I’m thinking of some swim shirts for the boys next to protect from sunburns.
