Coral/Stoplight Combination Dress

Today we’re sharing a super fun combination dress!  We took 2 of our favorite patterns and mashed them together into the same dress.  Be sure to visit Project Run & Play’s Summer Hack-stravaganza for the step by step tutorial on this gorgeous dress.

First of all, we took the top part of the Coral Wrap Dress pattern.  Annie chose the wide waistband and the bell sleeves options.  This combination dress actually is a faux wrap dress instead of the true wrap dress intended in the Coral Wrap Dress pattern.

Next we took the maxi version of the Stoplight Skirt pattern and added it onto the bottom of the Coral Wrap Top!  By the way, all 3 versions of the Stoplight Skirt could be used like this; the maxi, midi or pencil skirt.

Annie chose some Rose Floral on Slate Blue Heather lightweight french terry fabric from CaliFabrics for this dress.  Even if french terry isn’t your first thought for a summer dress, you might think again because the loops on the back make it very cool and breezy to wear even in the hottest weather!
