Ode to Eric Carle

Project Lounge Library sewing patterns from Project Run & Play

Today we want to share our Ode to Eric Carle complete photo essay.  So far, on this blog, we’ve only shared the nice clean and white garments we sewed.  But that was our nod to how in the sewing world, we usually begin each new pattern by sewing a muslin, or test garment, to check the fit before sewing with “good” fabric.  So where do the bright cheerful paintings of Eric Carle come in?  Well, we’re going to let the pictures from the lookbook do the talking…

Special thanks to Kalli June Photography for the beautiful photography of my kids in this post.

With the exception of Baby, who HATES to be dirty, this was probably the most fun my kids had ever.  (According to them!)  If there’s interest, I can do a separate post about how to do a fun paint fight photoshoot.  (I did have a little trouble finding good information before we did this, so maybe others are looking too?)

Let’s take one more look at each of these revelers:

(Don’t worry, as soon as he got his hands washed, clean clothes on, and some hot chocolate and a muffin in his belly, he was all smiles again!)

But here’s the burning questions I know you’re all wondering…did the clothes ever get clean and white again???  Actually they did!  And I can share that information in a “how to have a paint fight” post too if anyone is interested…
