It was my absolute pleasure to design 3 patterns for the latest Project Run & Play pattern collection: Project Happy Holidays. I designed these patterns with Jenny of Made of Starlite. Over the next few posts, I’ll be sharing what I sewed from the collection.

The Evergreen Skirt is basically my daughter’s dream skirt! It can be made in 19 different versions from mini to maxi. And the twirling capability is at max capacity!

The Evergreen Tiered Skirt is a woven skirt pattern. The comfortable fit enables hours and hours of repeated wear. The Evergreen Tiered Skirt has an elasticated waistband and inseam pockets. There are so many options (19!!!) from mini to maxi that this is a true mix-and-match pattern. Comfort level A+ and totally on trend, you’re going to end up making a whole wardrobe of these!

While designing the Evergreen Skirt and then for the lookbook, I sewed up only 5 Evergreen Skirts, but my daughters have assured me they need many, many more. I will be happy to oblige!

The pink dot skirt is made from a very lightweight cotton fabric from my stash. The pink skirt is pink diamond quilted chambray gauze fabric from CaliFabrics. Both work great for the Evergreen Skirt and the gauze fabric is especially soft and dreamy!

The Evergreen Skirt above is sewn using an ivory quilted sweater knit fabric from Surge Fabric shop. This is a hack of the Evergreen Skirt because I used knit fabric instead of woven, but as you can see, it makes the most adorable sweater skirt!

Above is one more of the Evergreen Skirts I sewed. This one was made by cutting at the hip line, adding on Tier 1 short and then the Tier 2 ruffle. Maximum twirl in effect!
