Fete Trousers pattern review

The Fete Trousers is the final pattern we sewed from the Project Happy Holidays pattern collection! Slowly but surely we’re learning to get better at sewing pants for our men and boys.

The Fete Slacks will have you looking your best for every occasion this holiday season! Flat front with pull on for sizes newborn to 6 years, or sleek zipper fly with tabbed waistband. Darted back or elastic for easy fitting. Optional back welt pockets and tuxedo stripe detail elevate these slacks for any formal event.

Here’s a funny behind the scenes tidbit: when making these trousers I accidentally skipped the step for top stitching the fly and this guy had to deal with the fabric pulling apart and exposing the zipper during the photoshoot! We used some beautiful burgundy baby wale corduroy from CaliFabrics and it is such a great fabric for these. The final result is such an on trend garment.

We paired the Hols Shirt with the Fete Trousers, and it’s such a classic, great look.

Well, that’s it for all the patterns we sewed from the Project Happy Holidays collection! We hope you enjoyed our Valentines themed photo shoot and all the garments we made.
