Pantone Party 2023 with Art Gallery Fabrics

It’s time for the Project Run & Play Pantone party again! Every year Pantone chooses a color of the year and this year it is Viva Magenta. There is one certain little 5 year old in this house who adores anything in the pink family, so I immediately knew who would be the recipient of any Viva Magenta sewing.

All of our fabric was generously gifted to us by Art Gallery Fabrics. We simply love their high quality fabric and use it whenever we can. For our looks this year we used quilting cotton, rayon, knit and flannel fabrics to create four different distinct looks, one for each season of the year.

Let’s get started with the SPRING outfit.

Our little sweetheart is so delighted with this outfit! Let’s look at each of those pieces.

Tina’s top is an Overlook Woven Raglan Top pattern. We used Happily Ever After Seven quilting cotton and we love the variety of pinks and reds on the hearts! The only changes we made were to add piping to those raglan shoulder seams and use knit for the neckband and sleeve cuffs. It’s such a fun outfit!

Now let’s talk about that skirt, shall we? This amazing ombre ruffle skirt is a pattern in development for the next Project Run & Play pattern collection! It really is a showstopper, and we can’t wait to get this one out into the world. We used 5 different shades of pink and red Art Gallery Fabrics knit solid fabrics.

Next up is our SUMMER outfit! I chose the Robin Dress pattern and Tina chose the fabric. I had selected several different Art Gallery Fabric rayons in shades of pink and red, and showed them to her. When she saw this one (Madison Avenue Blaze) she gasped and begged to have a dress made out of it! Okay, done!

We made the sweet front ruffle from Cactus Flower quilting cotton for a very fun pop of Viva Magenta on the dress!

She had so much fun posing with the hula hoop for the pictures! Also, we grabbed the Frutta Purse we made previously because it was too perfectly Viva Magenta to be left out!

Our fall outfit had to feature some back to school clothes! We sewed up a Blank Canvas Cardigan using Hot Pink knit fabric from Art Gallery Fabrics.

The other accessory is Trailblazing Socks in blush knit fabric from Art Gallery Fabrics.

The dress is two patterns that are mix and match! The collar and puff sleeves are from the Parfait Polo pattern and the bodice and fun skater skirt are from the Multi-Hue Henley pattern. The sweet floral knit is Blooms Field Fresh and she’s in pure heaven!

And finally, it’s time to get some rest after all that sewing with our winter outfit! Tina has a new pair of pajamas, and they’re so cozy!

The super fun split tone hoodie is the Touka Sweater made using Sweet Pink and True Red Art Gallery Fabric knit fabrics. The pattern has all the instructions for making a delightful split tone look.

She’s also wearing a pair of Sweet Dreams Pajama Pants in Khokhloma One flannel fabric. The FREE Still Sleeping Eye Mask is also made from the same flannel.

What do you think of our 4 Pantone outfits? Thank you so much to Art Gallery Fabrics for the amazing fabric! Be sure to head over to Project Run & Play to check out all the other creations for the Pantone Party.
